Peggy's topic is: "The Seagoing Cowboys: Cattlemen of the U.S. Merchant Marine." For more information on the exhibit, contact Dr. Josh Smith, Interim Museum Director, 516.773.5515 Sunday, April 29, 2012 A Menno-Hof program at Siloam Mennonite Church 61616 CR 35 Goshen, IN 6:00 pm "Swords into Plowshares: How the Seagoing Cowboys Helped Repair a Broken World" This program will include a presentation by Peggy Reiff Miller followed by stories of seagoing cowboys present. Thursday, May 3, 2012 Milford Public Library Meeting Room Main Street, Milford, IN 6:30 - 7:30 pm "A Writer's Novel Journey" Peggy Reiff Miller will talk about the writing of her young adult novel, Finding Charity: The Journey of a Seagoing Cowboy. This activity is made possible, in part, with support from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Saturday, May 19, 2012 Oak Room, Canyon Inn, McCormick's Creek State Park 8:30 - 9:30 pm "A Writer's Novel Journey" Peggy Reiff Miller will talk about the writing of her young adult novel, Finding Charity: The Journey of a Seagoing Cowboy. Sunday, June 3, 2012 Dutchtown Church of the Brethren Milledgeville, IL Two presentations by Peggy Reiff Miller: 9:30 am - Morning message: "The Least of These," a look at the scripture and history that brought the Heifer Project and the Seagoing Cowboy program into being. 10:30 am - Sunday School: "The Lives of the Cowboys," an illustrated look at the experiences of the men who served as Seagoing Cowboys.
